Annas story
I registered on the site because I was looking for HPV-level information about ectopia on Russian sites. However, I have been living in the USA for 5 years now. I came home to Russia and decided to go to a gynaecologist, a well-paid gynaecology clinic where doctors we know work. And they tell me, how do you do annual gynaecology tests in rowing America??? You have Matri erosion 3/4 of the entire surface!!! If you give birth this year, you don’t need to prune. But if you plan for the future, then you should! I’m still upset; what a vacation – I’m in grief. I returned to the USA; I ran to the therapist, screaming, I urgently need to see a gynaecologist; everyone was on guard!
Contrasting Opinions on Cervical Erosion
Cervical erosion!!! I was referred to a gynecologist whom I saw today, and she told me it was just an Ectopia of the cervix. This is a normal state. Like they have a lot of young girls with ectopia every day, It is not treated in any way because this is the NORM. And Treat only if it bleeds during sexual intercourse. As previously thought, it does not lead to cancer.
For a regular gynaecological examination, you need to do an HPV Pap test (cell collection for oncology), which I already do every year. I also had a colposcopy done in 2007 in another state of the USA, in one of the best hospitals in the country. There, I also had Ectopia (the same boundaries, which can fluctuate, and this is also the norm), and they did not pay attention to this because it is considered the norm. As usual, I go home and check what it is like on the Internet. Now, I have found this definition, which fully corresponds to the words of my American doctor.
Understanding Ectopia
Ectopia occurs in approximately half of women of reproductive age and does not occur in women after 40 years of age. Despite the popular belief about the existence and harmfulness of this disease, most modern doctors consider this phenomenon to be often a normal physiologically variable condition. Almost all cases recorded by doctors of the Soviet school as cervical erosion do not fall into the international classification of diseases as a disease but are considered a normal physiological state of a woman.
The presence of ectopia is most typical during the neonatal period, puberty, in young women, during pregnancy and the use of hormonal contraception. Ectopia can form due to infections or mechanical or chemical irritation of the cervix. Symptoms In the vast majority of cases, ectopia has no symptoms. With concomitant inflammation (cervicitis), vaginal discharge is observed.
In rare cases, ectopia is accompanied by spotting after sexual intercourse (contact bleeding). Pain during sexual intercourse. Research methods Colposcopy is used for accurate diagnosis. Treatment: Asymptomatic ectopia does not require treatment. If inflammation is present, the infection is treated. In the case of contact bleeding, it is possible to use methods that destroy the ectopic epithelium (Solkovagin, cryo destruction, laser vaporisation, radio wave method, etc.).

Yes, that’s right. Not everything that is considered a disease here is considered a disease abroad. In this case, you must complete a complex of PAP and HPV Variant tests on time (for example, through the shortest), and everything will be fine. Generally, these tests should always precede more traumatic examinations (e.g., biopsy). The only disadvantage of these studies is the price. You can’t save money on tests because the accuracy of the HPV result directly depends on the laboratory and its reagents. Otherwise, there is simply no point; you can miss the pathological process due to the poor quality of the analysis. Although, in my opinion, this rule also works for other analyses.

Don’t know; in my opinion, it needs to be treated. We live in Russia; here we have our doctors and diseases. Monitoring the microflora is paying close attention to this, but if erosion has already appeared, you need to sear it. Some are afraid to recover after a lot of discharge, which can drag. During menstruation, it also pulls in the lower back and stomach. A friend used colpocid to heal a cauterised erosion; it took some time, and there was a brown discharge. But in general, then everything went away, and, in fact, now everything is fine.
Diana:
I didn’t treat it; rather, I tried for a week to put tampons from aloe juice diluted with water 1 to 10, and everything went away as if it had never happened. The HPV doctors gasped; they wanted to see it. By cauterisation, you only remove the SIGN; erosion may well reappear. You need to reconsider your diet; first of all, restore the microflora. As a rule, erosion calmly heals itself if not brought to the extreme. Don’t just take it to the last stage.
Cristina:
They also say about sea buckthorn oil that tampons can help with it. How does diet affect this matter??? The microflora is clear; the main thing is that there are no viruses there; this also needs to be monitored; a friend took an exam, and it was not detected, although this composite that was prescribed to her is antiviral among others things, it only played a role in the healing of the wound. Erosion may appear, but it is a result of poor quality work of the doctor who cauterised it.
Liz:
A dietary regimen is mandatory! No sweets, sugar, white bread, sweet pastries, chocolate, sweet fruits, or dried fruits such as raisins. Eliminate fatty meats and fried foods. More homemade yoghurts without additives, kefir at night is a must. Fresh vegetables and fruits, porridge. Meat – beef, turkey or chicken. This also normalises the vaginal microflora.
Iris:
I once had quite severe erosion. They scared me… oh, they scared me. I spat on the doctor and especially the intimidation. And I decided to wait and see. I diluted aloe juice with boiled water in proportion and put tampons in for 10 days. ALL went away. The HPV Test Doctor threw up her hands. Erosion is not a disease. It is imperative to restore normal microflora and everything will be ok. The second time, the erosion was small and went away independently. I drank away the bacteria.
